Snow!!!!!

Today's devotional reading from one of my email subscriptions was about praying with faith like a child.  It went on to talk about how a child prayed for snow and got it.

I have ALWAYS loved snow and have often prayed for it, even this morning after being inspired by the devotional. Then the Holy Spirit went deeper in my thoughts and heart about snow.

All of a sudden I saw the blanket of snow that Jesus covered my sins with.  I turned to Isaiah 1:18 (NLT ) and read this verse: "Come now, let's settle this," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool."

Snow, the wintery weather kind, covers a multitude of stuff.  One of the reasons I really like snow is the way it covers even the ugliest debris piles.  It makes a covering for all the ugly.  It gives us a blank canvas to marvel at.

Jesus' blood does the same thing.  His blood covers our ugly and makes us white as snow.  It gives us a blank canvas for Him to paint our lives into something glorifying to Him.  It says so, right there in His Word.

So as I pray for the wintery weather kind of snow, I praise God for the snow He already gave me.  I'm forgiven! Snow is so pretty but even more so when the Holy Spirit speaks to you with that kind of message about it.  He amazes me in every breath. (Insert tears of joy here)

When it snows this year, tell God thank you for answered prayers.  Life is so much better with snow.
That blank, white canvas is a gift from God whether you are speaking literal snow or the sin covering kind.
